On their seventh day, demonstrators affiliated with the Occupy Albany movement marched from their encampment in Academy Park across the street to the Capitol.

Their beef: Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s non-support for renewing an income tax surcharge on New Yorkers reporting over $200,000 in annual income. The tax, enacted in 2009, generates up to $5 billion a year in revenue, which the 90-or-so demonstrators said could prevent cuts to higher education or the state workforce. It expires at the end of the year.
